PALACE MIRAGE
PALACE MIRAGE
WORKFLOW BREAKDOWN
Initially, I identified and marked the essential pieces needed to create the environment. This gave me a clear direction for the next step, which is creating the modular kit. It took me 2 Weeks to complete this project.

I created a reference board for this project to establish the scale and gather props/architecture references, ensuring the environment's look and feel is just right.Â
Next, I made the blockout pieces in Maya, exported them to Unreal Engine, and built the playable blockout in Unreal using the mannequin to ensure correct scaling.
After that, I took materials from 'Substance Community Assets' and tweaked them to fit my needs and also I added some sculpted details on the models to create a believable look to them. I added these materials to the assets in Maya and set them up in Unreal Engine. Additionally, I included variation masks created using Substance Painter and implemented vertex painting functionality within the materials in Unreal Engine 5.
I utilized SpeedTree to generate ivy and wild grass, creating multiple variations to enhance the scene's realism and authenticity. Additionally, I incorporated assets from Megascans to add a backdrop to the environment.
For the final step, I created a suitable lighting condition for the environment and adjusted various values in the post-processing volume to achieve the desired look and feel. Additionally, I used fog cards to simulate the effect of dust spreading through the air.
